The name NILARA is derived from Nilam (land) and Aram (essence or virtue).
Nilam represents the physical foundation — space, structure, and context.
Aram represents purpose — thoughtful design, balance, and integrity.

Together, NILARA stands for creating grounded spaces with meaningful intent.

Ashok Somasundaram founded NILARA Design Studio with the vision of integrating civil engineering, architecture, and advanced visualization into one multidisciplinary practice. Over the past six years, he has delivered more than sixty residential, commercial, and visualization projects, transforming ideas into practical, elegant, and buildable solutions.

His expertise spans architectural planning, structural coordination, interior design, construction documentation, photorealistic visualization, and product rendering.
